continuing to push that deep, raw house sound chris carrier s adult only label presents a brand new ep from slapfunk affiliate and all round funkateer, larry de kat. larry keeps the grooves rolling in his native holland, where he has close ties with the much respected slapfunk records, along with good friend anil aras. his back catalogue includes another french connection, with the young masters at lazare hoche records. this time he links up with prolific producer chris carrier to give adult only a taste of his funky medicine.

alex font repeats in oblack- only like the best and he does it showing the most acidic and clubby version of that the real house that permeates their sound from start to finish. this acid flow is the fifteenth reference of the pastorial label commanded by snna and nacho arauz- from ibiza the valencian alex font presents us with an original passage of festive house, trotter and no-friend of the depressions where the legendary sound of the roland tb-303 is the pacesetter, disguises the soul and adds foundation to the track. and, since it breaks the acidic sound through antonomasia, this acid flow, shows his playful and fun side. this is a bright and optimistic theme, designed and checked to make us dance with a smile on our face, no doubt. a bare-chested tribute to those early 90s when electronics was all about joy and effervescence.

larry levans name is synonymous with contemporary dance music culture, his contributions are widely noted in many books and documentaries and in the memories of the lucky people who got to experience his phenomenal dj sets at the now legendary paradise garage in nyc throughout the late 70s until the late 80s. his name is still mentioned with reverence today and he is listed as an influence by countless djs and artists across the world.
